United Care Center is pleased to partner with commercial insurance providers, workers' compensation programs, public funding sources–including Medicaid and Medicaid Waiver programs–and funding options for Veterans and Military Service Members, and their dependents, and many others to ensure access to rehabilitative services for individuals with brain and spinal cord injuries, complex medical conditions, and other neurological challenges. We offer cost-effective solutions designed to help an individual regain maximum independence.

Workers Compensation

United Care Center partners with workers compensation insurance companies to serve individuals recovering from work-related neurological and other catastrophic injuries. By including workers compensation case managers, adjusters and other injured worker team members in treatment planning, United Care Center develops individualized programming designed to meet the needs of the injured worker, with the goal of returning the individual to work or productive activity. Our comprehensive clinical continuum of care provides the flexibility to quickly move the injured worker to the most clinically appropriate treatment program, addressing skill essential for a return to productive activity.

Our program case managers work closely with workers compensation case managers, adjusters and other team members to help injured workers achieve desired outcomes in a cost-efficient manner. United Care Center negotiates comprehensive per diem rates that include all licensed therapies, nursing care, room and board and other ancillary services as determined prior to admission.  Our collaborative approach stresses a high level of communication with all team members to ensure alignment on expectations and current status. And our approach works! NeuroRestorative’s transparent outcomes reporting allows funders to review objective data to help shape programming and understand recovery time and function parameters well.

United Care Center contracts with workers compensation rehabilitation organizations and is active in many Workers Compensation Preferred Provider Organizations and Networks throughout the country.

Insurance

United Care Center provides medically necessary, licensed therapies for individuals needing neurorehabilitation services. The goal of neurorehabilitation is to improve the individual’s health outcomes by improving functional abilities related to improving mobility; performance of self-care and other activities of daily living; speech and language functioning, as well as adjustment to changes in these functions and participation in the community. Services include medical direction provided by physicians and nursing care as appropriate. Program case managers are assigned to facilitate frequent communication and reporting with insurance representatives and families. United Care Center negotiates comprehensive per diem rates that include all licensed therapies, nursing care, room and board and other services as determined prior to admission. United Care Center’s programs are included in a broad range of Preferred Provider Organizations and Networks throughout the country.

Public Funding

United Care Center participates in a broad range of state Medicaid and Medicaid Waiver programs, and some out-of-state Medicaid systems. In addition, we also work with other public funding options including state funded brain and spinal cord injury programs, as well as school systems and specialty trust funds to ensure that individuals with brain and spinal cord injury, medically complex conditions, and other neurological challenges have access to the rehabilitative services they require.

Private Pay

United Care Center works with individuals seeking to pay for services from private funds through private pay agreements. We also have experience working with attorneys or other legal guardians on private pay agreements funded by settlement trust accounts, letters of protection or other resources resulting from personal injury settlements.
